The band was founded by Richard Morales in Markham, Ontario. Los Moralitos started their movement into the Festival music scene by playing traditional covers from their favourite tropical bands of the 80s and 90s. They developed their own style and repertoire using modern electric sounds without compromising the danceable nature of the traditional elements of the Latin music. The band plays danceable rhythms like salsa and cumbia using electric guitars. The result is a funky electric tropical sound that engages and will make you all dance.
Their first release was a single named “City of Friends”, a song dedicated to the City Markham and the Pan Am Games of Toronto 2015.
